Crowdfunding Workshop: Part One
On Thursday, June 15th, Jerri Nachman will give background on the new Crowdfunding regulations and introduce two new companies who have finally gathered all of the marketing information necessary to launch a full scale Crowdfunding campaign. Social Media has become one of the most important elements in gathering enough backers to support a successful raise. Crowdfunders (issuers) need to raise as much attention and investment as possible to reach their goals in a very limited 30 day launch. “It takes probably 90 – 120 days in preparation, then a very fast 30 days to do it.”
Preproduction, Production, Postproduction
Be ready for all three parts of a campaign before you even begin. We begin at postproduction or post launch which is fulfilling all of the promises you will make during the raise period, then work your way backward. Even though the campaign will fluctuate, swerve, grow, get side tracked, never take your eye off of the ball. Buckminster Fuller once said your ship gets hit with storms and huge waves, so the crew uses the rudder to steer in the right direction. As entrepreneurs with the true vision, we act as the tiller using nuances to steady the journey. Carefully gather your “crew” or partners and board of directors, then lead them to the finish line. Flexibility works best during the planning stages, not in the follow through.

We are all set to meet at Lazy Acres Natural Market this Thursday, June 15th in their Rainbow Room. The continued workshops are scheduled on the third Thursday of every month in Encinias. Be sure to sign up early as there is very limited seating.
Refer 2 guests who pay their $10 (each individual workshop) and attend those workshops free.
We will be voting on the best cause to support during the 7 month long workshop series.
