I worked as a marketing director in the §1031 Tax-deferred Exchange business from 2000 at it’s best until 2008 when the real estate market crashed. All of my clients were sponsors, broker/dealers, registered reps and financial advisors presenting my marketing materials to their accredited investment groups. Because commercial real estate was escalating in the early 2000s, facilitating §1031 Exchanges was very profitable.
- Infographic On Real Estate Deals: Clients wanted to paint a quick picture of what a §1031 Exchange was without going into too much detail. Volumes of information has been written about it, but we wanted to make it into a visual. I collected icons, then show a 4-step process. There is also an important timeline to follow at the bottom. My team created all of the property videos, offering memorandum brochures, websites, trade show booths and all collateral materials. It was the best of times!
